Why can't owners see real-time business data?
Usually because the data lives in separate systems — a phone line, a booking calendar, an invoicing tool, someone's inbox — that were never connected, so getting a current answer means asking a person directly instead of checking a screen. The information technically exists; it's just scattered and one step removed from anyone who needs it fast.
This is rarely a data problem in the sense of missing information — most businesses already generate all the numbers that would matter. The gap is that nothing pulls those numbers into one place automatically, so "real-time" quietly becomes "whenever someone gets around to compiling it."
The fix isn't necessarily more software, it's connecting what's already there — even a simple automated pull from three or four existing tools into one view closes most of the gap without replacing anything the business already uses.
